Hunger-West Africa Food Crisis
The food crisis in Niger, Africa has reached dire levels. Thousands of children are dying each day. We talk to Southland organizations and volunteers who have been involved with the people of Niger since the 70's. Mrs. California(from Huntington Beach) is the New Mrs. America. Mrs America is Andrea Preuss of Huntington Beach. She has been married 8 years and has two children. This competition accurately reflects the diversity of the 65 million married women in the US and as well as the usual array of stay-at-home moms, teachers and TV reporters, this year's contestants also include a city mayor (Mrs. Ohio) , a professional ice skater (Mrs. Maryland) , and even a member of the US Defense Department (Mrs. Virginia who also speaks seven languages)!
