The Dental Face Lift - California Reconstructive Dentistry
Patient Multimedia Videos
Review a variety of live patient interviews that are routinely conducted by Dr. Muslin for patients who wish to have their own video records of before and after treatments. Each film clip is topic specific, addressing a certain aspect or treatment area that is "special" for each patient. The clips are fairly short and very entertaining....
Meet Cynthia, Beverly Hills area college student who had a developmental issue that resulted in her retaining several of her baby teeth.
An internet savvy young woman who conducted her own research into finding treatment resources that would be the least invasive...
- 20 Years: Cynthia tells her story about having small teeth and the self confidence issues she wrestled with an no longer wants to deal with. Her goal is to start a new chapter in her life.
- Researching the Internet: Cynthia describes what she found on most dental websites and why she selected our practice after having additional consultations with other doctors.
- Very Little Grinding - I'm Happy!: Cynthia reviews how no "numbing" was done and yet had no pain problems. Watch her smile and giggle over the results she describes.
- Yesssssssss: The significant spacing between her upper teeth caused life long speech difficulties for Cynthia. Watch and listen to her comments on how her ability to articulate the "S" sssssssound changed dramatically.
- Lots of Compliments - Nobody Knows: Cynthia cites examples of what people assume about the changes in her new appearance. You may notice her articulation of the "S" sound is just about perfect now.
Meet Martin, an extended care patient who underwent full mouth reconstruction.
Martin had a laundry list of dental problems... most of which resulted from previous treatment failures and bouts of severe periodontal disease. Progress through treatments was slow, at his insistence, to assure nothing would fail along the way.
- That New Jaw Feeling: Martin describes his treatment and the outcomes, both expected and unexpected. He jokingly compares his experiences to the TV Show Home Improvement.
- Home Based Gum Therapy: Listen to Martin express his sentiments about flossing, using a Water Pik and Sonicare. Now that his gum health issues have been resolved during treatment, Martin has discovered, amazingly, that it is possible to regrow gum tissue.
Meet Maya, one of our younger patients who also appeared with Dr. Muslin on our KTLA-TV Interview. She had a lifelong history of malocclusion, bad bite and underdeveloped structural supports that caused speech problems, numerous broken teeth, a sinking smile and an over-closed bite relationship that was changing her facial appearance.
Teeth and Speech Relationships: Tooth structures and jaw positioning affects our ability to pronounce certain sounds. A common experience amongst denture wearers, Maya nonetheless had a similar problem due to not only broken teeth and gaps... but also due to support structures for her lips. Listen to her candid description of how her speech characteristics changed.
Structural Changes in Lip Support: Dr. Muslin asks Maya how her lips feel, now that 2 days have passed after completing treatment. Listen to Maya respond to the question and how she describes several new and humorous experiences she had with the process of self discovery with things as common as using lipstick.
New Smile - Unusual Plans: Everyone agrees that a great smile always leads to increased self confidence. Listen to Maya's hilarious plans to hunt down an old boyfriend ... one who used to tease her about her broken teeth and feared cutting his lip when kissing her. Watch this short clip... you will agree it is a story of new found self confidence and self esteem that is rarely described this way.
